Before joining SSFA, I had no background in finance and wasn’t sure what to expect. Coming from Singapore, I hoped to gain a basic understanding of the field—but what I got was so much more.

Over the course of the program, I learned from mentors who didn’t just teach theory—they shared real, practical insights into how each sector operates. It was challenging but incredibly eye-opening, especially for someone starting from scratch.

We also had the chance to hear from leading figures in the industry who’ve built successful careers and were generous to share their stories.

​

One of the best parts of the program was meeting other students from all over the world. We learned from each other just as much as from the sessions themselves, and I came away with lifelong friendships. It was a great opportunity to build a network of like-minded peers—many of whom I hope to cross paths with again in the future.

Lastly, what made the program so impactful was Ms Evelyn who guided us throughout the entire program. She not only encouraged us to ask questions, but also genuinely cared about every student. Her support made all the difference!
